iW Alternative GP
The history of APIS AM (previously called iW Partners) dates back to 2012, during which the General Partner iW Alternative GP S.àr.l was founded and iW Alternative SIF-SCA (the “SIF”) was launched.

2014
AIFM agreement
After the onboarding in 2014 of the sub-fund Apis Lucrosa into the SIF, it was decided to set-up an Alternative Investment Funds Manager (“AIFM”). The Company was therefore incorporated as a public limited company in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and received its AIFM agreement end of 2016.

Management of our UCITS
In 2017, the Company extended its license to the discretionary asset management and started managing its first Undertaking for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (hereinafter “UCITS”).

Management Company
In 2020, the Company received both the licence to manage UCITS (Chapter 15 Management Company) and the extension of its AIFMD licence to hedge funds and commodities funds. The Company is rebranded as Apis AM.
